Plan ahead. The night before, set out your clothing, prepare lunch and write a to-do list for tomorrow. This nightly habit can help you easily prepare for your work day and prioritize important tasks.

Open the blinds. Natural light offers the most natural and gentlest way to wake up. It can also help you start the day more alert.

Hold off on email. Logging in first thing in the morning can throw off your schedule. Wait until you’re at work to open and email.

Calm your mind. Do 5–10 minutes of meditation or deep breathing as part of your morning routine to help settle your mind and focus your energy.

Nourish and hydrate. Eat a healthy breakfast and drink water to get your body going.

Exercise. If you can, start your day with a workout to boost your mood and energy.
